18 Different Teen Patti Variations

1. Stud

This Teen Patti variation is almost like Stud Poker where each player is initially dealt two cards, one face up and one face down. The face-down cards are called "hole cards" and the face-up card is known as the "street card." Several rounds of betting follow and more cards are dealt to players, some face up and some face down until each player has a complete hand of three cards.

2. Pairs are Jokers

In this variant, the Jack card is the wild card and can be used to replace any other card in a player's hand to create the best possible hand. In Pack Jack Teen Patti, players are dealt three cards and must use their cards, along with the Jack card, to create the best possible hand. The traditional hand rankings apply, except the Jack card, which one can use as a wild card to improve his hand.

3. Buying Jokers Seen and Unseen

In this 3 Patti variant, players have the option to buy Jokers to replace one or more of their cards and improve their hand. In Buying Jokers, Seen and Unseen Teen Patti, players are dealt three cards and have the option to buy Jokers to replace one or more of their cards. The Jokers can be bought either "seen" or "unseen". A seen Joker is revealed to all players, while an unseen Joker is kept hidden until the end of the round.

4. Rotating Jokers

In Rotating Jokers Teen Patti, players are dealt three cards and must use their cards, along with the Joker(s), to create the best possible hand. The traditional hand rankings apply, with the exception of the Joker(s), which can be used as wild cards to improve a player's hand.

The Joker(s) are rotated among the players, with the player to the left of the dealer holding the Joker(s) for the first round. The player with the best hand wins the round. If a tie happens, the player with the highest card wins.

5. Closest to 555

Here, players are dealt three cards who must calculate the total value of their hand by adding the values of each card. The values of the cards are:

Ace is worth 1, face cards (King, Queen, Jack) are worth 10, and all other cards are worth their face value. The player with the hand that is closest to a total value of 555 wins the round. If a tie occurs, the player with the highest card wins. Straights and flushes do not count in this variant.

6. Community Teen Patti

Community Teen Patti variation is close to Poker wherein multiple players play together and share common cards to make a hand. A number of cards are dealt face-up in the center of the table. Players need to have the best hand of three cards, combining the cards they are dealt and the community cards on the playing table.

In Community Teen Patti, players have the opportunity to bluff and mislead their opponents, as they have more information available to them about what cards are in play and what hands are possible.

7. Pack Jack

The dealer places three cards face up on the table for all players. When a player folds his cards, they replace the ones at the table and become the new jokers. Jacks are worth more points than any other card, making them the most valuable cards in the game. The traditional hand rankings apply, with the exception of Jacks, which are worth more points than any other card.

8. King Little

In this variant, the King is considered the lowest card, while the Ace is considered the highest. This changes the traditional hand rankings and players need to adjust their strategies accordingly. The goal is to have the lowest-valued hand, as opposed to the highest-valued hand in traditional Teen Patti. All players are dealt three cards, and the player with the lowest combination of cards wins the round.

9. Mufliss or Lowball

Mufliss (also known as Lowball) is another one of fun Teen Patti variations. All players are dealt three cards and the objective is to have the lowest hand possible as mentioned in the Teen Patti rules. The losing hand takes all the chips in the pot. This one is a fun and exciting variation that adds an element of strategy and unpredictability to the classic game of Teen Patti.

10. In-Out Teen Patti

The objective of the game here is to have the highest hand possible by combining the cards dealt to each player and those on the playing table. However, there is an added twist in that players have the option to "in" or "out" after each round of betting.

Here, if a player declares "in," it indicates they have a strong hand and wish to continue playing. If a player declares "out," it indicates their hand is not strong enough to win, and they drop out of the round. The round continues with the remaining players until only one player is left with a hand that they have declared "in." That player wins the pot for that round.

11. One Eyed Jack

In this variation, the Jack of Spades and Jack of Hearts are treated as wild cards and can be used to represent any other card in the deck. These two cards known as "One-Eyed Jacks," add an extra layer of strategy to the game as players can use them to improve their hand or mislead their opponents.

12. Auction

In this variant, each player gets to bid on the value of their hand. The player bidding the highest amount wins the pot if his or her hand is the best. The dealer also sets two stacks of three cards on the table. Each stack consists of one open card and two close cards. The open cards function as jokers for all players.

13. Joker Hunt

The Teen Patti rules of this variation resemble that of Poker. 3 cards are dealt, then another pre-decided number of cards are placed face up. Following this, the dealer opens twice as many cards as the number of players, plus another three.

The goal is to find and collect as many Jokers as possible. The traditional hand rankings apply, except the Jokers. The player with the most Jokers at the end of the game wins the pot.

14. Sudden Death

Sudden Death Teen Patti is a fast paced high-stakes Teen Patti variation. Players are dealt a limited number of cards; typically three or four, and the first player to run out of cards loses the game. The last player with cards remaining in their hand wins the game. The hand rankings used in Sudden Death Teen Patti are the same as in the original game.

15. Cobra

In Cobra Teen Patti, players are dealt four cards instead of the usual three. The key aspect in this variant is that players don't have the option to fold. They are dealt an extra card, called the Cobra card, which can be used to improve their hand or affect the outcome of the game. The player with the best hand wins the round.

16. AK47

In this unique variant, the value of the cards is based on the ranking of weapons in the real-life AK-47 assault rifle. The Ace card is ranked highest and represents the AK-47 rifle, while the remaining cards are ranked in descending order based on the weapon they represent. The player with the best hand, based on the modified hand rankings, wins the round. In the event of a tie, the player with the highest card wins.

17. Banko Banko

Banko Banko Teen Patti is a variation of Teen Patti where all players are dealt three cards and the goal is to hit a hand that is closest to 31. The traditional hand rankings do not apply in this variant. In the event of a tie, the player with the highest card wins.

18. High Low Split

In High Low Split Teen Patti, players are dealt three cards and they must use their cards to create either the highest or the lowest possible hand. The pot is split in this Teen Patti variation between the player with the best hand and the player with the worst hand as per the Teen Patti rules. Side-shows are not permitted in High-Low Split.
